This pin is something I completed a while back in my attempt to finally decorate the house we have been living in for 6 years. I saw the DIY Curtain Rod Picture Hanger and instantly fell in love. However, the pin was just a picture so I had to figure it out on my own (with help from a few people including my grandpa.
I got a curtain rod and picture frames from IKEA and some decorative ribbon from Michaels. For the frames I bought two that were 8 x 10 (I believe) with a mat that would accommodate a 5 x 7 photo. The center frame is a little larger and I put an 8 x 10 photo in there. If you look closely the top and bottom of the center frame have a white boarder because the photo was a little too short. So it's not exactly an 8 x 10 frame. Anyways, I gave the wooden frames to my grandpa and had him drill holes in the top of the frames so that I could run ribbon through it. That was the most difficult part because you had to make the ribbon the exact length to have even frames. Once the frames had ribbon I put them on the curtain rod and hung the brackets on the wall. I love the way it turned out and it was a relatively inexpensive project! IKEA's frames and curtain rods are very cheap!
***21 Day Organizational Challenge Update***
Day 17: Living Room
With so many deadlines at work: yearbook, report cards :( I have had zero time to organize my living room (its actually a mess of baby G's toys, my school/work stuff and the hubby's paperwork. I think that finishing the 21 day challenge by the end of January will be just as good of an accomplishment. So long story short today's challenge is being postponed.
Talk to you tomorrow!
